I'm grateful that he's had you in his life, Hermione. It may sound a little sentimental, but it makes me feel a little better about being gone to know he has friends like you.

[ Were this any other format there may be a pause here. As it is, it takes her a bit longer than she normally would have to respond; it's still hard to talk about being gone at all. ]

It's a good fit, I think. There's always something that needs doing.

It isn't right that you're gone. If I could change that for him - for everyone - I would. He is a remarkable person regardless of circumstances and I'm glad we're such good friends.

I only wish you could meet Ron and Ginny.

The material interests me. We never get the chance in Hogwarts to explore genetics. Wouldn't it be intriguing to see a genetic sequence of someone who possesses Magic? Or someone who is a Werewolf?

I don't know if I'll ever be okay with it. I've tried not to mention it much but sometimes I feel like I'm not meant to be here, either. I know that's silly.

I wish I could meet everyone, it feels selfish to want to bring people here but I suppose it's all I've got. I know when I come from, there's no changing that. I'm sorry, this is turning into a whole lot of self-pity!

The material really is fascinating. As much as I love magic, I've never quite understood many wizards' refusal to learn anything else.
